Some experiments were made for the buoyant jet from a square orifice with a square disc placed on it in static ambient and concentration along the axis in self-similar area behind disc was measured. And at the same time a three-dimensional mathematical model was established to simulate the whole flowing under different conditions. All the results predicted by the numerical calculation were substantiated by the experiments. The results were compared with experiential formula for obstructed round buoyant vertical jets in static ambient and it was found that the two concentration distributions had good accordance. Star shape of temperature isolines on cross-sections in the near areas from the disc was found and it was a very special figure for obstructed square buoyant vertical jets with a square disc. The shape will transform to concentric circles gradually alike to the round buoyant vertical jet in self-similar area with increasing of the distance from the disc.  相似文献

The problem of the long-term strength of an extended thick-walled tube containing a corrosive medium in the internal cavity is solved. The diffusion of this medium into the tube material is analyzed. The diffusion equation is solved approximately by introducing the diffusion front, and the error of the solution is estimated. Friction factors of square arrays of roughened pins in smooth channels have been measured for a range of pin pitch to diameter ratios and roughness heights and for different sizes of array. The influence of the smooth channel has been removed in two ways; by extrapolating the results for a fixed pitch-to-diameter ratio to an infinite number of pins and by calculation from the finite array results. The resultant friction factors are compared with each other and with data obtained by testing single pins in smooth circular channels and transforming by various methods to the fully rough situation.  相似文献

In this paper, 3-dimensional non-axisymmetrical deformation analyses for finite hollow circular cylinders have been carried out by Pickett's double series expansion method[1]. Through expanding the displacement potentials as the sum of fourier series and Fourier-Bessel series, we could express the coefficients of one series by those of another under certain boundary conditions. Thus, a set of linear algebraic equations were derived. Solving these equations, we could obtain the solutions of the problems. Numerical examples have been given to show that the method presented here is workable for practical applications.  相似文献

We find closed-form solutions for axisymmetric plane strain deformations of a functionally graded circular cylinder comprised of an isotropic and incompressible second-order elastic material with moduli varying only in the radial direction. Cylinder's inner and outer surfaces are loaded by hydrostatic pressures. These solutions are specialized to cases where only one of the two surfaces is loaded. It is found that for a linear through-the-thickness variation of the elastic moduli, the hoop stress for the first-order solution (or in a cylinder comprised of a linear elastic material) is a constant but that for the second-order solution varies through the thickness. The radial displacement, the radial stress and the hoop stress do not depend upon the second-order elastic constant but the hydrostatic pressure and hence the axial stress depends upon it. When the two elastic moduli vary as the radius raised to the power two or four, the radial and the hoop stresses in an infinite space with a pressurized cylindrical cavity equal the pressure in the cavity. For an affine variation of the elastic moduli, the hoop stress in an internally loaded cylinder made of a linear elastic isotropic and incompressible material at the point is the same as that in a homogeneous cylinder. Here Rin and Rou equal, respectively, the inner and the outer radius of the undeformed cylinder and R the radial coordinate of a point in the unstressed reference configuration.  相似文献

The issue of stress singularity in an elastic cylinder of cylindrically anisotropic materials is examined in the context of generalized plane strain and generalized torsion. With a viewpoint that the singularity may be attributed to a conflicting definition of anisotropy at r=0, we study the problem through a compound cylinder in which the outer cylinder is cylindrically anisotropic and the core is transversely isotropic. By letting the radius of the core go to zero, the cylinder becomes one with the central axis showing no conflict in the radial and tangential directions. Closed-form solutions are derived for the cylinder under pressure, extension, torsion, rotation and a uniform temperature change. It is found that the stress is bounded everywhere, and singularity does not occur if the anisotropy at r=0 is defined appropriately.
